Born and raised in Lima, Peru, I moved to Germany at the age of 18 to study English and Japanese Studies at the University of Cologne. Even before finishing my degree I started working as an in-house translator within an organisation, all while continuing my studies. After graduation I became a freelance translator. Having worked for a few years on a freelance basis, I decided to expand my service catalogue with a master's degree in conference interpreting at the Technische Hochschule Köln (Cologne University of Applied Sciences) .
To me, translating and interpreting are much more than the simple transferral of words from one language into the other. As an academic and professional with lived experience in three continents, I carefully weigh and balance cultural differences and nuances to ensure a comprehensible and effective message for your market or audience. My aim is therefore not just to translate text, but additionally to succinctly and successfully convey your message accounting for idiomatic and cultural differences — I can help you cross borders to reach your audience.
I’m a member of the German Professional Association of Conference Interpreters (VKD – Verband der Konferenzdolmetscher) and Germany’s Association of Entrepreneurs and Freelancers (VGSD – Verband der Gründer und Selbstständigen Deutschland).

Testimonials
“I wanted to say thank you very much for helping to make yesterday’s event possible. The first feedback comments we received all spoke about the magic of simultaneous interpretation — not only did it convey all different voices perfectly, it also transmitted the commitment and energy that emanated from this study day. I really hope that we'll have the opportunity to carry out more projects like this in future!”
